ALLEN-BRADLEY 1756 ControlLogix I/O Modules Rockwell Automation
ALLEN-BRADLEY 1756 ControlLogix I/O Modules
Allen-Bradley 1756 ControlLogix® I/O Chassis-Based Modules provide a full range of digital, diagnostic digital, analog, motion control, and specialty I/O to meet your application needs. You can use any of the Allen-Bradley 1756 ControlLogix® I/O modules in the local chassis of a ControlLogix controller or in a chassis linked to a ControlLogix controller across ControlNet™ or EtherNet/IP™ networks.
Each Allen-Bradley 1756 ControlLogix I/O module mounts in a ControlLogix chassis and requires either a removable terminal block (RTB) or a 1492 interface module (IFM) to connect all field-side wiring. RTBs and IFMs are not included with the I/O modules. They must be ordered separately
Features
- Mounts in a ControlLogix® chassis
- Requires either a removable terminal block (RTB) or a Bulletin 1492 wiring interface module (IFM) to connect all field-side wiring
- Includes inherent time-stamping capabilities for sequence of events (SOE) applications
- Offers comprehensive I/O diagnostics for detection of both system and field-side failures
- Provides removal and insertion under power (RIUP) for ease of maintenance
- Offers electronic keying to help prevent replacement errors
- Includes I/O wizards in the Studio 5000 Logix Designer® application to enable quick and easy module configuration

The ALLEN-BRADLEY 1756 ControlLogix architecture provides a wide range of input and output modules to span many applications, from high-speed digital to process control.
The ControlLogix architecture uses Producer-Consumer technology, which allows input information and output status to be shared among multiple ControlLogix controllers.

ALLEN-BRADLEY 1756 ControlLogix controllers can monitor and control I/O across the ControlLogix backplane, and over network links. The
ControlLogix 5580 controllers have an embedded Ethernet port for a direct connection to Ethernet-enabled devices and
networks, and also support communication interface modules in the local chassis. To provide communication for
ControlLogix 5570 or ControlLogix 5560 controllers, install the appropriate communication interface module into the
local chassis.
ControlLogix 5580 and ControlLogix 5570 controllers are available with a conformal coating. A conformal coating
provides a layer of protection against contaminants and humidity to help protect the assembly and extend product life in
harsh, corrosive environments. Products with a conformal coating have a ‘K’ suffix at the end of the catalog number.
