CompactLogix Control Systems

Our CompactLogix™ and Compact GuardLogix® controllers use a common control engine with a common development environment to provide mid-range application control in an easy-to-use environment. Tight integration between the programming software, controller and I/O modules reduces development time and cost at commissioning and during normal operation. This commonality provides cost-effective integration of a machine or safety application into a plant-wide control system because it integrates safety, motion, discrete and drive capabilities in a single controller.

Our Bulletin 1769 CompactLogix™ 5370 Controllers are part of the Integrate 5370 ControllerArchitecture® system. These controllers include integrated safety, and use the same programming software, network protocol, and information capabilities as all Logix controllers. This provides a common development environment for all control disciplines. Consistent tools and features help users to lower engineering investment costs, ease diagnostics and troubleshooting, and speed up time to market for small to mid-size applications.

Software

Use RSLogix 5000 programming software or the Studio 5000 Logix Designer software from Rockwell Software® to design and configure your CompactLogix™ system with 5370 controllers.

The controllers and modules you select, along with your network configuration, determine what additional software packages you need to configure and program your system. Additional required software may include RSNetWorx configuration software and RSLinx communication software.
