Equipped with powerful and energy-saving Intel Core2 Quad/Duo processors with 64-bit
technology, a memory size of up to 8 GB and up to 500 GB serial ATA hard disks, the
IPC547C reliably provides high computing performance in 24-hour continuous use at
an attractive price. The 7 long expansion slots in PCI/PCI-Express technology allow for the use of powerful expansion cards such as PCIe x16 graphics cards for the connection of two monitors and PCIe x8 (1 lane) for installing a Framegrabber
For greater system availability, the IPC547C is equipped with up to three mass storage units in the RAID5 array for maximum data security and performance with optimum use of storage capacity in the hot-swap replaceable frame and also features a redundant power supply (available soon).

Increasing system availability by means of a redundant power supply
The SIMATIC IPC547C with redundant power supply provides a reliable solution for increasing
system availability in continuous operation duty.
If one power supply rack unit fails, the other unit takes over the full load without interruption.
Failures are signaled by an LED on the power supply rack unit and as acoustic signal. The power
supply rack unit can then be replaced during operation (hot swap).
This results in a very high system availability. The separate power ports also permit power supply
from separate power networks (e.g. via UPS)
