Design

The SIPLUS IM 365 is the low-cost expansion for an EU. It contains the following features:

  • Compact design;
    the rugged plastic housing contains the interfaces for the connection cables
  • Simple mounting;
    the interface modules are mounted on the DIN rail (slot 3) and connected to the I/O modules via a bus connector just like any other module
  • Problem-free configuration;
    the interface modules are self-configuring. Address assignment is not required.
  • LEDs for status and fault display
  • One of the two SIPLUS IM 365 modules is inserted in the CC, the other in the EU; the modules are connected by a fixed, 1-m long cable
  • Limited use of modules;
    the EU is not connected to the C bus. Therefore no C bus stations (CPs and FMs, see configuration aids) may be inserted into the EU
  • No separate power supply;
    the modules in the EU are powered by the CPU power supply
