Application

Application Field	Typical Equipment & Scenarios	System Configuration & Usage	Key Advantages in This Application
Heavy‑Duty Industrial Drives	Large centrifuges, mixers, extruders, crushers, large fans and pumps	Used as supply/regenerative unit in common DC bus multi‑drive systems; matched with 6SE70 inverter units	High power density, stable DC voltage, strong overload capacity, suitable for long‑term continuous operation
Hoisting & Lifting Equipment	Cranes, gantry cranes, hoists, elevators, winches, port handling machinery	Works in four‑quadrant operation; feeds braking energy back to mains during lowering/decleleration	Energy recovery, reduced heating, stable speed control, high dynamic response
Conveyor Systems	Downhill conveyors, long‑distance belt conveyors, mine conveyors, logistics sorters	Common DC bus configuration with multiple inverters; bi‑directional power flow	Energy saving, smooth starting and braking, low impact on power grid
Metallurgical & Steel Equipment	Rolling mills, coilers, uncoilers, continuous casting machines, straighteners	High dynamic torque response; supports 12‑pulse rectifier configuration for low harmonics	Meets heavy impact load; high precision speed/torque control; good grid compatibility
Paper, Printing & Textile Machinery	Paper machines, printing presses, film stretching lines, textile winders	Tension control systems with common DC bus; synchronous multi‑drive operation	Stable DC link, precise speed synchronization, low speed ripple, high production stability
Test Benches & Dynamometers	Motor test benches, engine dynamometers, performance test systems	Simulates driving and braking loads; bi‑directional energy feedback	Energy recycling, low operating cost, accurate load simulation
Marine & Offshore Applications	Ship cranes, winches, thrusters, auxiliary propulsion drives	Adapted to marine environment; robust against vibration and humidity	Reliable under harsh conditions; compact structure; strong EMC performance
Multi‑Axis Drive Systems	Machine tools, rubber and plastic machinery, large presses	Shared DC bus for multiple inverters; coordinated motion control	Balanced energy distribution, improved overall efficiency, reduced wiring
System Retrofit & Modernization	Upgrading old DC drives, replacing non‑regenerative rectifiers, old inverter system renovation	Direct replacement in existing 6SE70 systems; compatible with PROFIBUS‑DP and terminal control	Short commissioning time, extended equipment life, improved energy efficiency
Grid‑Friendly Installations	Industrial plants with strict requirements for harmonics, power factor and grid stability	High power factor (>0.95), low THDi, meets IEC and IEEE power quality standards	Reduces grid interference, avoids resonance, stable operation in weak grids
